I've just finished reading "The End of Oil" for J. Campbell.
That book is very rich in following the history of the age of oil and in the prediction of the upcoming crisis. It has triggered my mind to think about so many associated topics which I'm planning to introduce in my blog space.
- The main scientific foundation of the book is based on a sort of scientific observation that the hydrocarbon profile of the oil is following in general a normal distribution function (bell shape) and consequently the peak of this production will mark the beginning of the end, or the beginning of the decline and world will not be able to meet the growing demand.
- The book is striking strongly on the bell to urge the decision makers, the intellectuals and the scientists to address this coming crisis and take the mitigation measures.
